Rigol DSG5204: Advanced 4-Channel 9kHz-20GHz RF Signal Generator

RIGOL Technologies presents the DSG5204, a versatile microwave signal generator that offers two distinct frequency ranges, from 9 kHz to either 12 GHz or 20 GHz. Part of the DSG5000 series, this generator is available with 2, 4, 6, or 8 independently controllable channels, featuring superior channel-to-channel isolation of up to 85 dB (typical).

Each channel in the DSG5204 can be individually configured for frequency, amplitude, and function, or controlled as a group. With amplitude ranging from -30 dBm to +25 dBm and impressive low phase noise at -133 dBc/Hz @ 1 GHz (10 kHz offset), this generator ensures high-precision, interference-free signal generation.

Fast switching times of less than 3 ms and patented digital amplitude control technology offer superior accuracy, with amplitude precision typically within 0.7 dB. Additionally, its frequency accuracy of +/-1 ppm, upgradeable to +/-10 ppb with an optional OXCO, ensures reliable testing even in demanding applications.

The DSG5204 excels in long-term phase stability, achieving <1° at 10 GHz, and allows for precise phase adjustments in 0.01° increments. It supports various modulation forms including amplitude (AM), frequency (FM), and phase (PM) modulation, all available across the entire frequency range. Pulse modulation with rise/fall times as short as 20 ns is also supported, along with a pulse train function that can generate up to 2047 custom pulse patterns for radar testing.

With additional features like the ability to sweep both amplitude and frequency, the DSG5204 is an ideal solution for complex RF testing scenarios, ensuring reliability and performance.
